Coley is a 2007 graduate of Auburn University and lifetime resident of Fairhope. Her career began in the oil industry, her family’s business, working for several Gulf Coast petroleum distributors in account management and sales. In 2013, her knowledge of the oil industry led her to a position as marketing representative and field auditor for AlaCOMP Workers’ Compensation Self-Insurance Fund which was founded by oil jobbers. There, she helped continue the diversification of its membership and grow AlaCOMP’s presence in South Alabama by working with independent insurance agencies throughout the state and the Gulf Coast. She joined Thames Batre in 2020 as a production representative and account executive for commercial and personal insurance lines.
She is an avid member of the Alabama Independent Insurance Association and, in particularly, the Young Agents Committee serving as its Chairperson for the 2022-2023 term. She is an associate member of the Insurance Marketers Association of Alabama. She received her Certified Professional Insurance Agent (CPIA) designation in 2014 and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2020. She is a board member of the Thomas Hospital Advisory Board and the South Alabama Land Trust and serves on the Citizens Advisory Committee of the Eastern Shore Metropolitan Planning Organization. She and her husband Scott have two children and are members of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
