Taylor is a 2005 graduate of The University of Mississippi with a BA degree in Banking and Finance and a minor in Insurance and Risk Management. His insurance career began in 2006 with McGriff, Seibels & Williams in Birmingham, AL where he marketed commercial accounts to insurance carriers. In 2012, Taylor returned to Mobile, AL where he joined Thames Batré Insurance as a production representative and account executive for commercial and personal insurance lines. He is the third generation within his family to work in the insurance industry. He earned his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2008 and his Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 2014. His clientele include marinas, contractors, healthcare, property managers, marine industries, restaurants, and manufacturers.
Taylor is an active member of Dauphin Way United Methodist Church, a board member of United Cerebral Palsy of Mobile, a past board member of the Alabama Gulf Coast Association of Independent Insurance Agents, and is involved with the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of South Alabama. He and his wife Lindsey have two children.
