Lewis E. Beville
Lewis has over 40 years of experience in the property and liability insurance business. His professional career began in 1974 when he joined his father’s firm, Beville Insurance Agency. Since then, Lewis has gained expertise in a broad spectrum of areas including real estate, construction, distributors, warehousing, schools, marine, retail, non-profit and business services organizations.
A graduate of The University of Alabama, Lewis received a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce and Business Administration with majors in Insurance and Real Estate. He received his designation as a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) from the American Institute of Property and Liability Underwriters in 1981.
Active in industry, community and charitable organizations, Lewis served as a board member of the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce, United Methodist Children’s Home and as board president of Gulf Coast Chapter of CPCU, Mobile Area Education Foundation and Dumas Wesley Community Center. He is a member of the Dauphin Way United Methodist Church where he served as Chairman of the Church Council and the Church Foundation.
Lewis was actively engaged with Colonial BancGroup where he served in a variety of capacities including member of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the Director’s Audit Committee, and interim President/CEO.
Lewis and his wife, Karen Anne, have two married children and four grandchildren.
