Lewis E. Beville
Lewis has over 35 years of experience in the property and liability insurance business. His professional career began in 1974 when he joined his father’s firm, Beville Insurance Agency. Since then, Lewis has gained expertise in a broad spectrum of areas including real estate, construction, distributors, warehousing, marine, retail, non-profit and business service organizations.
A graduate of The University of Alabama, Lewis received a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce and Business Administration with majors in Insurance and Real Estate. He received his designation as a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) from the American Institute of Property and Liability Underwriters in 1981.
Active in industry, community and charitable organizations, Lewis is past president of the Gulf Coast Chapter of CPCU and has served as a board member of the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce, Mobile Area Education Foundation and Dumas Wesley Community Center. He is a member of Dauphin Way United Methodist Church where he served as Chairman of the Church Council.
Lewis was actively engaged with Colonial BancGroup where he served in a variety of capacities including member of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the Director’s Audit Committee, and interim CEO.
Lewis and his wife, Karen Anne, have 2 married children. When away from the office, Lewis enjoys his grandchildren, reading and time outdoors fishing, hunting, walking and birding.
